There once was a farmer who took a young miss In back of the barn where he gave her a Lecture on horses and chickens and eggs, And told her that she has such beautiful Manners that suited a girl of her charms, A girl that he'd like for to take in his Washing and ironing, and then if she did, They could get married and raise lots of [Chorus] Sweet violets, sweeter than the roses, Covered all.

This double cd set covers these 6 albums and gives the listener 40 tracks of sublime singing. Dinah Shore was the voice of Chevrolet automobiles during the late fifties and early sixties and after listening to these tunes I can understand why. A dynamite set - great sound, excellent presentation and a very informative booklet. John Walsh/5(38).

This high-quality piece from the independent label Taragon spotlights Dinah Shore's RCA recordings from through the later 50's. It contains many of her top hits on RCA including some of her cover versions of 50's hits that were hits in their own right that are seldom found elsewhere in their original RCA versions/5(4).

With the exception of a five-year run at Columbia, Dinah Shore spent the majority of her recording career racking up hits on the RCA Victor label, going all the way back to the big-band era. This track set gathers up all her charting numbers for that label, starting with 's "I Hear a Rhapsody" and finishing up with 's "Fascination."7/
